About DigiCare Insurance

We research US insurance. We don't sell it.

DigiCare Insurance is an independent US insurance research site. We publish guides, plan comparisons and single-question answers for visitors, immigrants, self-employed workers and drivers facing state filings. We are not a licensed insurance agency, we take no applications, and every rule we state cites the regulator that set it.

DigiCare Insurance USA is part of DigiCare (getdigicare.com). Pages are researched and edited in-house and sourced from NAIC, state Departments of Insurance, healthcare.gov, CMS, the IRS and USCIS.

Why trust a page here

Independence you can check, not a badge we awarded ourselves.

01

Independent by construction

We hold no agency license and take no applications, so there is no policy we are trying to place. The advice and the revenue are structurally separate, not separated by a promise.

02

Primary sources or nothing

Limits, deadlines and filing rules come from the body that sets them — a state Department of Insurance, NAIC, healthcare.gov, the IRS. A rival comparison page is never a source.

03

Money that is disclosed

Some outbound links pay us a commission when you buy through a licensed partner. Those links are marked, and no partner sees a page before it publishes.

How a page is made

Four steps, on every page, every time.

The full standard — which sources qualify, how prices are presented, and what happens when we get something wrong — is written out on one page.

How we review

01

One question per page

We scope a page to the exact situation someone is in — not to a keyword — and say up front who it is not for.

02

Rules from the rule-maker

State minimums, enrollment windows, filing durations and subsidy thresholds are read off the regulator's own page and cited inline.

03

Prices labeled as estimates

Figures come from published rate filings and plan documents, carry the date they were pulled, and are never presented as a quote.

04

Dated, then re-checked

Every page carries a review date. Pages built on rules that move get re-checked when the rule moves, not on a calendar.

What we are not

The four limits of an unlicensed research site.

Stated here rather than buried in the terms, because they change what this site is useful for.

What we can help with
  • We are not a licensed insurance agency

DigiCare does not sell, solicit or negotiate insurance. Products are offered through licensed partners, who carry the licenses and the regulatory obligations that come with them.

  • No applications, no quotes, no phone funnel

There is no form on this site that puts you into a call queue. When you are ready to buy, you leave for a partner site on your own terms.

  • Every price here is an estimate

Real premiums depend on facts we cannot see — your age, state, driving record, plan year. Treat every figure on the site as a starting point for comparison.

  • General information, not personal advice

Nothing here is a recommendation for your specific circumstances. For a binding answer on coverage, ask the carrier or a licensed producer in your state.

FAQ

Questions about us

Questions about coverage rather than about DigiCare live in the Answers Library.

Is DigiCare Insurance an insurance company or an agency?

Neither. DigiCare Insurance is an independent content and research site. We do not underwrite policies, hold an agency license, or sell, solicit or negotiate insurance. Insurance products referenced on the site are offered by licensed carriers and licensed partner agencies, not by DigiCare.

Who writes DigiCare's content?

Pages are researched and published by the DigiCare editorial team as an organization rather than under individual bylines. Where a page needs a credential we do not hold — a licensed producer's read on a coverage question — we cite the regulator or carrier document instead of implying an in-house expert reviewed it.

How does DigiCare make money?

Through affiliate commissions. When a link sends you to a licensed partner and you buy a policy, that partner may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, the links are disclosed, and no partner has editorial input — commission rates never decide which plan a page recommends.

Where do the facts and numbers come from?

Regulatory and government sources: NAIC, individual state Departments of Insurance, healthcare.gov and CMS, the IRS, the Department of Labor, USCIS, and the Insurance Information Institute. Pricing comes from published rate filings and plan documents. We do not source facts from other comparison sites.

Can I buy a policy through DigiCare?

No. There is no checkout, application or quote form on this site. Pages end in a link to a licensed partner who can actually sell the policy, and you complete the purchase there under that partner's license, terms and privacy policy.

Judge the method, then judge the pages.

Our sourcing rules, pricing policy and corrections process are written down in full — read them before you trust a number here.
